Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from Wisconsin drubbing
By Nick Popio
Something Has To Change
After three unimpressive showings, Michigan football has to go back to the drawing boards. Everything has failed to produce a respectable product to this point. Michigan now heads back home for two must wins, then the beef of the campaign arrives. Five to seven losses is not out of the question after today, meaning Michigan has to find anything that can improve their chances at not throwing this time away because of a lost season.
Jim Harbaugh will likely keep his job for the rest of the year no matter what happens. The school just isn’t the type to release their coach mid-season. Those calling for a change have the right to do so though. When it comes down to it Harbaugh has 10 more games to figure it out and if things remain the same, then a coaching change has to happen.
For now, Michigan can only band together and take it one step at a time. That’s easier said than done, but thankfully Rutgers is next, which is what Michigan needs now. Waiting for next week will feel like an eternity with a sour taste lingering like that.
They have to start somewhere and beating Rutgers won’t solve all the issues, but getting back in the win column is exactly what Michigan needs at this moment.
