Michigan Football: 5 predictions for Wolverines against Army
Michigan wins impressively
There is cause to be concerned about this game for a few reasons. Army isn’t a pushover. The Black Knights took Oklahoma to the brink in Norman last season and have the nation’s second-longest winning streak.
They know how to play on a big stage and they will compete their tails off. There will be no quit and if Michigan football lets up at all, Army will take advantage.
But, the Wolverines know what this team is capable of doing. And after being a little sloppy against the Blue Raiders in the first outing, I’d expect a better effort on both sides of the ball.
Early on, Michigan needs to assert itself and that’s exactly what should happen. I can see the Wolverines going up a couple of scores early and maintaining control throughout.
Army will get some big plays and they will churn some clock in an effort to slow the game down. The final score will be respectable, but Michigan should dominate in the trenches and outside at receiver. It will be a fun game, but one UM should control.
Final score: Michigan 45, Army 20
