Charbonnet hits the century mark

Last week, I predicted that Charbonnet would get past the 100-yard mark against MTSU and early on, it looked like he was going to, especially after ripping off a 41-yard run.

Charbonnet was everything we thought he would be. He ran with power and was explosive. The 6-foot-2 former four-star was also stellar in pass protection and racked up 90 yards on just eight rushing attempts.

The big thing there is to make sure he gets the ball more. Charbonnet averaged seven yards per rush on his other attempts, which is still very good if you take out his long run. The bottom line is he needs more touches this week. Never should he gets less than 10 attempts.

I have a feeling that Charbonnet is going to take the Big Ten by storm this season and if Michigan feeds him the ball, he might even be the freshman of the year in the league.

For starters, Charbonnet will have a breakout performance, as long as he gets at least 12-15 touches. With that workload, there is no way he gets less than 100 yards.
