Michigan football will kick off its season tonight at the Big House against Middle Tennesee State. Here are three predictions for the Wolverines.

Tonight is the night that every Michigan football fan has been waiting for. Gone are all the hype, all the predictions and all the conjecture.

Well, we will have one last round of predictions, right here in this post. Of course, with Michigan football facing off against Middle Tennessee State and not Notre Dame, this season opener has a much different feel than 2018 or even 2017 when UM traveled to Dallas to play Florida.

Back in 2015, Harbaugh’s first season, the team went to Utah, so this will only be the second opener at home for the Wolverines and it’s similar to the Hawaii team UM played in 2016, although this Blue Raiders squad is much better traditionally than that.

But whereas Michigan football returns Shea Patterson and even Dylan McCaffrey at quarterback, the Blue Raiders are coming in with a first-time starter and at the Big House, that has to be a concern.

Some group of five teams can definitely cause concern, especially the teams with a veteran quarterback and experience across the board. This MTSU team knows how to win, but it has youth at key spots, even though it returns key guys on offense like wide receiver Ty Lee, as well as running backs Chaton Mobley, Terelle West and Brad Anderson.

The Wolverines will enter the game as a five-touchdown favorite and here are our five predictions to see if they live up to that billing.
