15 Through 6

15. Daxton Hill is as fast as lightning.

Daxton Hill is the brother of Baltimore Ravens running back Justice Hill and they were both blessed with breathtaking speed.

At Nike’s The Opening, the younger Hill ran a verified 4.3 forty.

14. The offense and scoring will be fast.

Until the running game is established, look for a lot of passes and a lot more scoring compared to last season. Karan Higdon is gone and so is Chris Evans which leads me to believe there will be a lot of simple mistakes made by this inevitable running back by committee.

13. The defense will see significantly more playing time as a result of the upgraded offense.

No-huddle leads to quick drives. Quick drives lead to less time of possession. Less time of possession leads to the defense spending more time on the field.

12. The right tackle position is not set and could change several times throughout the season.

Via the Michigan Daily:

“It’s very close,” Ben Bredeson said. “And that’s just not me trying to hide anything. It’s genuinely something that’s going to get solved in camp between (Mayfield) and Stueber. Once that happens then we’ll know from there. But not even anybody in the building knows right now.”

Junior Andrew Steuber and sophomore Jalen Mayfield might not make it through an entire game as the starter. Look for them to switch out between possessions during the MTSU game.

11. Michigan football wins total is set at 9 1/2. I’d bet the over.

According to Sportsbook Review, Michigan’s betting win total is 9 1/2. Three of Harbaugh’s four seasons have ended with 10 wins and I have no idea where the oddsmakers think this team will stumble.

10. The defense has reloaded.

Rashan Gary, Devin Bush, and David Long will not be with this team in 2019 and that hurts but this defense is ready to go it has the most depth Don Brown has ever had as a defensive coordinator.

“We’re deeper than we’ve been.” Brown told reporters in April.

9. Don’t sleep on Wisconsin.

The Wolverines bested the Badgers in Ann Arbor last October but this time Michigan travels west to take on the dangerous Jonathan Taylor. In just two seasons, Taylor has rushed for over 4,000 yards. Michigan has held Taylor at bay during the first two meetings, however, without the speedy Bush at linebacker and the run-stuffing Rashan Gary at anchor, Taylor could finally score his first touchdown against the maize and blue.

8. Don’t sleep on Penn State either.

Penn State could be a close game despite them losing their starting quarterback and running back. Sophomore back Ricky Slade is expected to be the starter. Slade is deceptively quick and elusive and could prove difficult to bring down in Beaver Stadium.

7. UM earned it’s highest preseason ranking in a decade.

Shea Patterson returning has a lot to do with the preseason ranking being as high as it is. At number seven in the country, Michigan sits behind the usual suspects in Clemson, Alabama, Oklahoma, and Georgia. Ohio State and LSU round out the top six.

6. Wolverine’s are getting whatever safety they desire because of Chris Partridge and Anthony Campanile.

Chris Partridge is in his second season coaching the safeties and he has done a fine job not only as a coach but also as a recruiter for the position. Daxton Hill, Jordan Morant, Makari Paige, and R.J. Moten are prime examples of coach Partidge’s abilities to bring in the best of the best. Also, Chris’ NJ partner in crime, Anthony Campanile, has been an integral part in establishing the Jersey pipeline to Ann Arbor.
