Michigan Football: 5 bold predictions for Wolverines in fall camp
Luiji Vilain earns a role on the d-line
When Luiji Vilain committed to Michigan football back in 2017, many believed he would make a major impact with the Wolverines. He was just shy of being a five-star recruit and was ranked 57th nationally and fifth among weak-side defensive ends.
Unfortunately, mostly due to injuries, Vilain hasn’t seen the field for the Wolverines but this season, that should change.
There is a lot of competition along the defensive line, especially at defensive end with guys like Mike Danna, Aidan Hutchinson, Kwity Paye and Josh Uche all playing a role there. Yet, Uche will also be seeing a lot of snaps as a stand-up, outside linebacker.
That should leave room for a guy like Vilain to get into the mix. He’s an explosive athlete and if he can realize his potential, he could make a real impact this season and if you are talking about sleepers, you have to mention Vilain.
