Jaden Springer

When it comes to Jaden Springer, Michigan might face an uphill battle in terms of trying to land him with Tennessee, North Carolina, Memphis and Florida all figuring prominently into the mix.

However, when Springer announced his top five teams recently, the Wolverines were able to work their way onto the list and that means they should at least be able to get Springer in for a visit at some point and that always has a chance to alter things.

Springer actually wrote his own blog announcing the story and here is the passage he wrote about Michigan basketball:

"They’re one of the newer schools to reach out to me too. Coach Juwan Howard called me personally and told me that I’m a priority. That was big for me because a guy like Juwan definitely knows what it takes to have a long career in the NBA. That really stood out to me and that’s a school I’m high on."

As noted earlier with Kessler, recruits dig Howard’s NBA background. These kids want a chance to win, a chance to shine and a chance to reach the NBA as soon as possible and at Michigan. Howard can help them realize that dream. At least that’s what he’s selling. We will see if it’s enough to land the third-best shooting guard and No. 11 player overall in 2020.
