Michigan Football: 2010s All-Decade team for the Wolverines
RB: Karan Higdon
Stats (2015-18): 471 carries, 2,616 yards (5.6 AVG), 27 TD, 16 receptions, 177 yards
A three-star prospect in the 2015 class according to the 247Sports Composite, Higdon became better each year for Michigan football.
He rushed for only 19 yards as a freshman in 2015 but upped that total to 425 yards as a sophomore. 2017 was his first year as the lead back and he responded to the challenge by rushing for 994 yards. In his senior season, he became the first Michigan running back to eclipse 1,000 yards since Fitzgerald Toussaint in 2011.
For his efforts, Higdon was a third-team All-Big Ten selection in 2017 and a first-team selection in 2018.
Twice rushing for 200 yards in a game, the Sarasota, FL native was a finalist for the Doak Walker Award as a senior.
Michigan football has a long history of great running backs and Higdon left the school just outside the top-ten in career rushing yards.
The Wolverines had lacked an elite every-down back since the Mike Hart days, and Higdon helped provide some stability.
Honorable mention: Fitzgerald Toussaint (2010-13)
