Donte Fitzpatrick

At Tennessee State, the story goes, enter Brian ‘Penny’ Collins and the whole team leaves.

One of those players is the ultra-talented Mr. Donte Fitzpatrick.

Fitzpatrick is exactly what Michigan needs at the two as he shot 38% from three last season with the Tigers after spending his first two unremarkable years with Ole Miss.

Much like the first two young men, Donte played sparingly during his first year and his time was cut off leading to his transfer. At Tenessee State, Donte became the lead man and became the leading scorer averaging 14.3 points-per-game and 5.4 rebounds.

Standing at 6-foot-4, Fitzpatrick has the size needed for the SG position. coming out of high school, 247Sports ranked Donte 11th out of Tenessee, the No. 28th SG, and 178th nationally.

For the Wolverines, Donte is a plug and play star who would elevate the team above past a majority in the Big Ten.

The downside to Fitzpatrick is the ambiguous news that surrounds him. First, he was suspended last season for an undisclosed violation of team rules. Second, he and six other players from Tennessee State decided to leave the team and no one is reporting on either issue.
