Michigan Football: 4 rock-star Wolverine commits since May
Zak Zinter
Zak Zinter is a huge haul for the Wolverines as he is a massive, versatile offensive lineman who, standing at 6-foot-6, has started at center, tackle, and most recently, guard.
Where he will fit in at Michigan is not clear at this moment but coach Warriner told him “He kind of sees me as a swing player because he really likes my versatility.”
What we know about Zak is he finishes his blocks, has great foot movement, and according to 247Sports Brian Dohn, he should be a third-day draft selection. Dohn also compared the big man to Oakland Raiders guard Gabe Jackson.
Zinker is the No. 3 football player from Massachusetts, the No. 23 OT, the No. 273 nationally, and he holds a 9083 composite rating.
Zinter joins Micah Mazzccua as the only two offensive lineman commits so far for the class.
Comparatively, the 2019 class saw six linemen added to the roster, most notably Trente Jones and Nolan Rumler who are ranked No 11 – Jones at tackle – and No 10 – Rumler at guard.
