Michigan has one of the best quarterbacks in the country

If you want a reason why Michigan football is finally going to live up to the hype in 2019, look no farther than starting quarterback Shea Patterson.

Patterson could have easily gone into the NFL draft after throwing for 2,600 yards last season and 22 touchdowns. He’s accurate, athletic, throws a great deep ball and is competitive as hell. He’s the perfect quarterback for Michigan and with him back for his senior season, the Wolverines are better positioned at quarterback than they have been in years.

Not only is Patterson probably the best quarterback coming back in the Big Ten, but he’s also one of the best in the country. And on top of that, Michigan also has incredible depth.

If something terrible happened and Patterson got hurt, the season wouldn’t be over. Both Dylan McCaffrey and Joe Milton have shown promise and there is little doubt that either could lead the team if needed, especially Dylan who flashed against Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Penn State.

Having great quarterback play is always a key to winning big in football and when it comes to 2019, Jim Harbaugh has to feel good about the guys in his QB room.
