Michigan Basketball: 5 recruits Juwan Howard should target in 2020
Nimari Burnett
Nimari Burnett is a guy that the former staff was targeting and he’s someone that Howard has talked to before. Burnett plays in California now but he is a Chicago native and he told Orion Sang of the Detroit Free Press that they know each other well because of that.
Burnett also told Sang that he ran into Howard a couple of weeks ago before he was the Michigan head coach, so it seems like a natural connection. Burnett would also fill a big need.
The Wolverines haven’t replaced Jordan Poole for the 2019-2020 season and unless DeJulius or Adrien Nunez develop into big-time shooting threats, Michigan basketball will need guards that can score and Burnett, a 6-foot-3 combo guard fits the bill. He’s a five-star prospect that is the 23rd player overall in the 247 composite rankings and third among combo guards.
