LaVall Jordan

What you get with Juwan Howard is nostalgia and a bright young coach who is rising in the NBA ranks. Ed Cooley gives you a proven winner who knows how to recruit.

LaVall Jordan gives you player development.

Speaking to The Detroit News, former Michigan basketball player Josh Bartelstein gave a lot of the credit to Jordan for turning a mediocre Wolverine team into what they are today.

“He should get a ton of credit”. Josh said and continued his credit giving ways by attributing the successes of guys like Caris LeVert, Nike Stauskas, and Trey Burke to the entire staff but he specifically mentioned Jordan as having an ‘integral part’.

Josh believes in coach Jordan possibly more than coach Jordan believes in himself.

“He’s a student of the game, and I think he’s a basketball savant when it comes down to playing within the pick-and-roll and playing between dribbles and understanding how to change speeds and change direction,” Bartelstein said. “I’ve been lucky to be around basketball for most of life now and he’s one of the best.”

The downside to Jordan is he hasn’t had the type of success Cooley has enjoyed. At Milwaukee, LaVall posted an 11-24 record and is teetering on the .500 line at Butler including a 16-17 record this past season.
