Since the NFL draft, several former Michigan football players have signed their rookie contracts and there are some who have yet to put pen to paper. Here’s a look where each player sits.

The NFL draft is over and there are some former Michigan football players whose bank accounts received a large contribution from their new NFL team while others continue to negotiate. Here’s a look at where they stand and a glance at their mammoth contracts.

Devin Bush

Pittsburgh gave a lot to move up in the draft to have the opportunity to select Devin Bush with the 10th overall pick. The Steelers traded down from the 20th spot with the Broncos and the terms of the trade indicate the management in Pennsylvania would have done anything in their power to grab Bush.

Denver the 20th pick, the 54th pick, and a 2020 third-round draft pick from the Steelers.

To date, Bush has not signed a contract; however, Steelersdepot took a stab at guessing what the contract will look like.

"Bush is expected to have a base salary of $495,000 in 2019 with his salary cap charge expected to be around $3,431,205. Bush’s remaining salary cap charges in 2020, 2021 and 2022 are expected to be around $4,289,006, $5,146,807 and $6,004,608, respectively."

Rashan Gary

Two picks later, the Green Bay Packers selected Rashan Gary. Rashan was expected to be drafted earlier, however, a torn labrum and his limited statistics held Gary back from being a top-five selection.

Rashan’s rookie contract will pay $28 million dollars over four years which includes a signing bonus of $9.57 million and a team option for a fifth year.

Chase Winovich

Moving on to the third round, The New England Patriots selected Chase Winovich with the 77th overall pick.

According to Overthecap, Winovich received a contract with a total value listed over $3.5 million.

Chase was asked by one NFL team what he would do with the money should he receive a contract. He responded, “I was trying to get my mom a car if they could help me out.”

When asked what kind of car he would get her, he jokingly said: “They’re going to decide if she’s getting a Ferrari or she’s getting a Camry.”

David Long

The Rams snagged David Long with the 79th overall pick and Los Angeles’ cornerback’s coach Aubrey Pleasant couldn’t be happier.

“Anybody who is a Rams fan knows that I have a very talented position group and you could say that the rich have gotten richer.”

Again, Overthecap is reporting Long’s contract at just over $3.5 million; however, just like the Winovich contract, Overthecap is the only one reporting a finalized contract.

Zach Gentry

As the No. 141 overall selection, Zach Gentry will be joining Devin Bush in Pittsburgh. And judging by the four-year contract he signed, Zach won’t have any money troubles anytime soon.

According to Sportrac, Gentry signed a four-year contract worth $2.8 million dollars which includes a $495,000 2019 salary and a $343,147 signing bonus.
