Michigan Basketball: 5 ways Wolverines can improve from within
Michigan basketball is going to need players to step up after losing three guys to the NBA draft and here’s how the Wolverines can improve from within.
It’s safe to say there is some unrest among Michigan basketball fans right now as the Wolverines are trying to find roster replacements for Jordan Poole and likely Ignas Brazdeikis.
Michigan basketball always knew Charles Matthews was going to leave after this season. He graduated and it was time for Isaiah Livers to become a starter one way or another. Jalen Wilson, the top incoming freshman, who ranks 47th in the 2019 class, could also end up starting in that spot.
Livers may end up starting at the four, in place of Brazdeikis. It just depends how it all plays out and who head coach John Beilein is able to bring in to be part of the 2019-20 Wolverines.
While I doubt that Michigan strikes out on all of its targets, I was wondering the other day, what if the Wolverines don’t add anyone? What if Franz Wagner stays in Germany, or what if Nah’shon Hyland or Jaevin Cumberland both pass.
It’s possible, although I think at least one player will be signed but even so, is that one guy really going to be the savior of this team? More likely they could be a nice piece but make no mistake, the critical parts of this roster still exist.
And there is more talent than most realize. As is, this Michigan basketball team is still a Big Ten title contender and here are five ways it can improve from within in an effort to hang a championship banner next season.
