Point guard

Starter: Zavier Simpson

Backups: Eli Brooks, David DeJulius

Zavier Simpson has not and will not move from the starting spot and yet his offensive production from last season left a lot to desired.

Averaging just over eight points-per-game, Simpson will really have to increase the amount and accuracy of his shots should Michigan basketball have any chance for a Big Ten title. The good news is Zavier has drastically increased every year showing his unique ability to adapt quickly.

During the 2017-18 season, Simpson averaged 7.3 points-per-game and shot 29% from the three-point line. this past year Zavier averaged over eight points-per-game and shot 31% from the three. In addition, Zavier went from four assists to six and three rebounds to five.

Behind Simpson and – in this case – in no particular order are Eli Brooks and David DeJulius. What I said in the last depth chart still holds true.

"After DeJulius broke out with 16 minutes in the Nebraska game in late February, no one thought we would see Brooks again -even though DeJulius never scored more than four points in a single game. Brooks eventually made his return and put in some valuable time in the conference tournament which included six rebounds against Minnesota and six points against Iowa."
