Osman Savage

Position: OLB/RB

Devin Bush, I mean Osman Savage was a tremendous pick up by the Wolverines and he is also helping on the recruiting trail. His school, St. Francis Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, is consistently putting out top talent and making the school a pipeline for Michigan is a high priority.

In a February visit to Ann Arbor, Osman was joined by eight of his teammates, one of them is another Michigan commit, and the others will hopefully be joining Savage on the 2020 Michigan football roster.

But enough about the other guys, Let’s talk about Osman Savage. As a linebacker, he doesn’t tackle, he punishes those who think they deserve the ball. It hurt me watching him beat up on opposing ball carriers.

As a running back, Osman has the speed and intelligence to wait for and explode through the holes his lineman create.

"“He’s really the only player on our roster that plays both ways at running back and linebacker,” St. Frances head coach Henry Russell said. “He’s the type of player that makes things happen. I think he had four defensive touchdowns over the last two years. He could be one of the best backs in the country if we gave him the ball more. At linebacker he does it all. Long arms, rangy, very athletic, physical, can cover, can stuff the run.”"

247Sports listed Savage as the No. 13 football player in Maryland, No. 21 OLB, and No. 271 nationally.

Rivals; however, is unstinting with their ranking. Osman is rated tenth in the state, ninth positionally, and 152nd nationally.
