Ambry Thomas

Coming into the 2019 season, one position that had some concerned was corner with the loss of David Long. Lavert Hill is going to be back but that also means at least one new starter on the outside.

Yet, after watching the way Ambry Thomas played during the open practice, the scrimmage and from what we have heard others observe, there is no need to worry because the 6-foot corner took off.

Of course, Thomas isn’t the only corner to have a big spring. Vincent Gray also made tremendous strides and there could be a heated competition between the two of them to start opposite Hill.

But Thomas showed that he is going to be in the mix in the secondary and with his size and speed, he could be exactly what the Wolverines need on the backend to deal with teams like Ohio State.
