Michigan football concluded spring practices with its controlled scrimmage last Saturday and here are 10 players who improved their stock.

While Michigan football fans weren’t treated to the traditional spring game, one with four quarters and a score, the Wolverines did hit the field for about an hour last Saturday at the Big House, wrapping up spring football.

Over the few weeks of practice, we learned a lot about the Michigan football team, both good things and bad. A lot of the positive things were player development and learning new things about the Wolverines offense under Josh Gattis. The negatives were injuries. Injuries at running back and wide receiver especially.

Michigan has enough pass catchers that it didn’t miss Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins terribly, however, not having Christian Turner and Zach Charbonnet was unfortunate. Tru Wilson did a solid job but others such as Ben VanSumeren aren’t exactly guys UM wants carrying the ball when it matters in September.

Certainly, the controlled scrimmage Saturday was the most that we have seen of the Wolverines this spring outside of the open practice held one week prior. But players and coaches both talk and there has been lots of information coming out.

Based on that and the things that we saw Saturday in the actual “spring game” here is a look at 10 players who improved this spring and have their stock (depth chart) within the program moving in the right direction.
