Michigan Football: 5 things we learned about Wolverines spring game
Just about every position has guys pushing each other
One final thing we learned about Michigan football during this spring game is that there is a ton of competition throughout this roster.
Shea Patterson is going to be the starting quarterback, however, if he takes a step back, McCaffrey is good enough to change that. Bell, Sainristil and Oliver Martin are going to push Peoples-Jones, Collins and Black.
Defensively, the linebackers are filled with talent in Josh Ross, Devin Gil, Jordan Anthony, McGrone, Hudson and Barrett, who switched over recently and made one of the top defensive plays. The secondary is also overflowing with talent, as is the defensive line, with guys like Donovan Jeter, Hutchinson and Julius Welschof growing up quick.
There is a long way to go to say that this 2019 Michigan football team will be the best under Jim Harbaugh up to this point, but it definitely feels like the deepest and the team can adjust to Gattis and stay healthy, the sky is the limit.
