Michigan Football: 5 positions to watch during Wolverines spring game
WR offers plenty to watch
Coming into the spring game and throughout spring practices, wide receiver has been closely watched for a few reasons. One was the transition to the new offense and another reason was some of the incoming talents.
However, another reason a lot of attention has been paid to the position has been the injury bug, which has struck with both Nico Collins and Donovan Peoples-Jones.
Without its top two wideouts from last season, Michigan football has turned to Tarik Black, who has been impressive thing spring, along with incoming freshman Mike Sainristil. The 5-foot-10 slot receiver has grabbed the attention of Gattis and Harbaugh and is a serious contender to play this fall.
Other guys with the chance to step up are Oliver Martin and Ronnie Bell, two guys who played limited roles last season. Each has freshmen hoping to take their spots and surpass them and without Collins and Peoples-Jones, they have to take advantage of this time to shine.
