Point Guard

Starter: Zavier Simpson

Backups: Eli Brooks, David DeJulius

Zavier Simpson is the clear starter here and there is no argument against it. The only question is how much playing time will coach Beilein give to Brooks and DeJulius.

Brooks fell off the map in February, going from double-digit minutes to less than five in some games.

After DeJulius broke out with 16 minutes in the Nebraska game in late February, no one thought we would see Brooks again -even though DeJulius never scored more than four points in a single game.

Brooks eventually made his return and put in some valuable time in the conference tournament which included six rebounds against Minnesota and six points against Iowa.

Both players will have to prove themselves to take over as Simpson’s backup next season and his replacement in the following season.
