Keep an eye on Michael Barrett and Jordan Glasgow

Obviously, it’s really easy to be optimistic in the spring but Michigan football is a team with elite talent and there really is no debate about that.

The Wolverines are sending a bunch of players into the NFL in April and it will do the same next season. People want to put down coach Harbaugh but he has accumulated talent and gotten his players selected in the NFL draft including a school-record 11 in 2016.

One player that probably isn’t going to the NFL is Jordan Glasgow but that hasn’t stopped him from standing out this spring. At viper and as a defensive back, Glasgow has been all over the place and Harbaugh said the coaches have had to force him to sit out.

He’s a guy that as a blitzer and as a run defender should make an impact this season. Another guy like him is Barrett, who will also see snaps at viper. He moved over from wide receiver and running back and his athleticism is eye-opening.

It wouldn’t be shocking to see him do something like Glasgow and move to a few different spots but in addition to Hudson, both Glasgow and Barrett will make plays at viper this season and if everything works out, Barrett could be in a position to start in 2020. To say the least, he is among the guys I will be watching closely during the spring game.
