Michigan will win a share of Big Ten championship
Thanks to Minnesota, who knocked off Purdue Tuesday night, the Wolverines now control their own destiny again in the Big Ten race, at least as far as winning a co-championship.
By virtue of the Boilermakers loss, the game between Michigan basketball and Michigan State Saturday in East Lansing will be for at least a share of the regular-season title. If the Boilers lose to Northwestern, then the winner of Michigan-Michigan State would be the outright Big Ten champs.
For Michigan, a win gets them the No. 1 seed in the Big Ten tournament and the piece of the Big Ten title for the first time since 2014. It seemed like this team was destined to win at least a share of the title all season long and even though it will have to win at Michigan State to get it, this team feels up to the challenge.
Yes, Michigan State just beat Michigan at home, however, this series is full of surprises and I have a feeling the Wolverines will be motivated enough to pull the upset Saturday at the Breslin Center.
