Livers will be a great starter someday

Isaiah Livers has been spectacular off the bench for Michigan basketball all season long and he had done a great job of filling the role that Duncan Robinson played last season.

His 3-point shot has come a long way and he is also a very solid defender and rebounder. He has a great skill set and he’s probably one of the most underappreciated Wolverines.

Last night against Nebraska, Livers got the start because Matthews injured ankle and he showed just how effective he can be as a starter, scoring 12 points, knocking down three treys and grabbing 10 rebounds for a double-double.

Livers also contributed with three assists and was solid defensively in 34 minutes of work. Obviously, if he’s healthy, Matthews is going to start but once he’s gone, Livers is guaranteed to take his spot and when he does, he’s going to flourish.
