Michigan Basketball: 3 predictions for Wolverines against Nebraska
Michigan wins easy
When you are talking about the Big Ten conference, easy is a relative term. Beating Nebraska isn’t going to be a cakewalk. Tim Miles is a good coach. James Palmer has his moments as do Glynn Watson and Isaiah Roby and even Thomas Allen.
The problem for Nebraska is that it doesn’t have depth. The injury to Isaac Copeland was a death knell to the Huskers tournament hopes and now after they have lost nine of 11 games, the NIT is starting to look like the best possible outcome.
Nebraska is a decent defensive team, however, they just don’t have the size or strength inside the handle Matthews, Jon Teske and Ignas Brazdeikis. Even Isaiah Lives should be able to create some points inside.
It would be nice to see Jordan Poole play better than he did against Michigan State. I also wouldn’t mind seeing more of guys like Brandon Johns and David Dejulius. First things first though, Michigan needs a win and behind Matthews, on senior night, the Wolverines get it.
Final score: Michigan 73, Nebraska 59
