It was a busy weekend of recruiting for Michigan football and here’s a look at the latest offers as well as a look at the good vibes coming from visiting recruits.

Michigan football had a number of key recruiting targets visiting Ann Arbor over the weekend and for the most part, the Wolverines are getting good vibes.

Of course, the most important visit was from in-state prospect Justin Rogers, a five-star offensive guard that is the No. 16 prospect in the 2020 class and the top player in the state of Michigan. He visited this past weekend and things appeared to go well, signaling UM gained some ground

Yet, there was a lot more positive feedback coming out about this weekend and one of the more notable tidbits was that 2021 corner Aaron Willis, who is committed to Virginia Tech, said his visit to Michigan was the best visit he has had so far.

Another corner, four-star Luke Hill also said he was impressed with the Wolverines, who lived up to his expectations. That comes from Wolverines Wire, which also reported that visits with offensive lineman Micah Mazzccua and Michael Statham went well. Each player met extensively with Ed Warriner.

Clinton Burton Jr., a 2021 cornerback also got a lot of attention over the weekend and spent extended time with Michael Zordich, the Wolverines cornerbacks coach. Burton told Wolverines Wire he enjoyed the visit and Zordich, which was a reason he would consider Michigan.

Michigan football also made a good impression on four-star running back Blake Corum according to the Michigan Insider ($) and Corum was just one of many targets from the state of Maryland that the Wolverines had in to watch Michigan basketball take on the Terps.

While there was a lot to catch up on in terms of visitors over the weekend, Michigan also made a number of offers in the past couple of days and the most recent was an offer extended to 2020 three-star corner Sammy Anderson out of Dayton, Ohio.

Anderson is ranked as the No. 58 corner in the country and the 19th best prospect in the state of Ohio. His size is one thing that makes him attractive as he stands at 6-foot-2. One trend you will notice with Michigan football is a preference for taller defensive backs recently.

Another offer by Michigan was to 2020 running back Landen Bartleson out of Kentucky on Friday. He is another three-star that is the seventh-best player in the his home state and also the No. 47 running back.

While Michigan has been after longer corners, one of the top guys in 2020 is 5-foot-10 and that didn’t stop the Wolverines from offering Clark Phillips III, a defensive back out of California that ranks 55th in the 2020 class overall and fifth among corners.

Those three players announced their offers on their twitter accounts and we will certainly keep an eye out for visits especially with Phillips, a guy who would be a nice get out of California, a state that gave the Wolverines Zach Charbonnet in the 2019 class.

All in all, as I said, there are some good vibes coming Michigan’s way on the recruiting trail and hopefully, some of that positive talk turns into commitments soon.
