Michigan Football: 10 recruits to watch for Wolverines in 2020
WR A.J. Henning (No. 51 overall, No. 8 WR)
When new offensive coordinator Josh Gattis talks about getting speed in space, he is referring to getting the football to guys like A.J. Henning and letting them see what they can do with it.
And even though Michigan is looking like it has a good chance with a few different wideouts, Henning is another name that the Wolverines are working hard to land. Gattis, for his part, said that Henning would be a perfect fit for his speed-in-space offense.
At 5-foot-10, Henning would be an ideal slot receiver in the Wolverines offense. Obviously, the No. 1 player out of the state of Illinois can do a lot more than that, however, when you watch his film, it’s hard not to imagine him dominating from the slot.
He could turn out to be a lot like 2019 freshman Giles Jackson, who should be a dangerous weapon for the Wolverines. Yet, if Michigan gets Henning to commit, the offense is going to very scary in the near future.
