Michigan football just finalized its 2019 recruiting class Wednesday by signing its 26th player. But here’s a look at 10 players to watch with 2020 in mind.

While the Michigan football program finalized its 2019 recruiting class this week with the addition of Quentin Johnson and some preferred walk-ons, the work on 2020 has already begun.

Essentially, since the end of the early signing period, Michigan football has been recruiting not just guys from 2020, but from 2021 as well. With elite players, the earlier you can establish and develop that relationship the better.

Jim Harbaugh has been out on the trail a lot in the past month. He’s visited some quarterback prospects, including Deion Sanders son. The Wolverines have also offered Marvin Harrison Jr. and Antonio Gates Jr., so it seems like UM likes those NFL bloodlines.

However, even though some of those guys have big names, they aren’t some of the key names to watch for the Wolverines in the 2020 class, which already has six commitments and ranks 11th in the nation.

Michigan football already has commits from three four-star guys in linebacker Osman Savage, corner Andre Seldon and wide receiver Kalil Branham. The others are three-stars Nick Patterson (TE and Shea Patterson’s younger brother), quarterback JD Johnson and inside linebacker Cornell Wheeler.

Obviously, Michigan has a lot more work to do in this class and it will be a huge test for new assistants Josh Gattis, Anthony Campanile and Shaun Nua. So far, the results have been good but we will see how things end up and as of now, here are 10 recruits to watch for Michigan football in 2020.
