Michigan basketball is playing Indiana tonight, weirdly on a Friday night. It’s strange so don’t worry, we got all the info including how to watch and stream.

It’s been a long time since Michigan basketball played a Big Ten basketball game on a Friday night. In fact, in the regular season, I don’t remember it happening.

That’s not to say it hasn’t. But it just feels weird. However, with football games being played on Friday night, it was only a matter of time before hoops did the same thing and tonight, Michigan basketball and Indiana will renew their rivalry at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Michigan and Indiana have had a lot of great matchups in that building and in this rivalry altogether. Yet, over the past couple of seasons, Michigan basketball has come out on top, including earlier this year when the Wolverines beat the Hoosiers 74-63.

Since then, the Wolverines have lost a game and struggled to beat Minnesota the other night, needing a last-second shot from Charles Matthews to win. However, that’s nothing like what Indiana has gone through as the Hoosiers have lost five straight. Their NCAA tournament hopes are hanging by a thread at 3-5 in the Big Ten.

It’s a big game for both teams as the Wolverines are trying to stay within a game of first-place Michigan State in the race for the Big Ten title and with that in mind, here is all the key info including how to watch and stream.

Game Info:

Game 20: Michigan at Indiana

Where: Assembly Hall (Bloomington, Indiana)

When: 6:30 PM EST

TV: FS1

Stream: Foxsports 2 Go or Fubo TV

Radio: WWJ (950 AM) in Detroit

Breakdown:

When the two teams met in Ann Arbor, the Wolverines blitzed the Hoosiers and they did it by dominating inside. Neither team shot the ball well from beyond the arc as the Hoosiers were 5-of-14 from 3-point range while the Wolverines were 4-of-16. However, Jordan Poole and Matthews each buried two treys each which helped UM build a 15-point halftime lead.

The big key to victory was Michigan’s suffocating defense, which limited Romeo Langford and Juwann Morgan. Morgan scored 25 points and Langford added 17, but it took 33 shots between the two of them to get there and they connected on 14-of-33 which is 42 percent.

Both teams come into tonight’s game struggling as the Hoosiers have been atrocious from deep (10-of-55 in last 3 games). Michigan hasn’t been much better and has been held under 60 points in consecutive games. One thing that might help is the fact that Indiana is allowing teams to make 37 percent of their 3’s in the past five games, so maybe the Wolverines can get going from deep.

In the last two games, Iggy, Poole and Matthews are 16-for-56 (28 percent) from the field. One would think that number can only go up, while Jon Teske, who has shot 64 percent and averaged 15 points per game over the last four, should start to slow down, at least a little.

Maybe he can continue to make 64 percent of his shots, but it’s more likely his percentages will fall, at least somewhat. Indiana is also allowing 72 points per game during its five-game losing streak.

Next. 3 reasons Michigan will beat Indiana again. dark

Both teams should be hungry on defense and whichever can break out of its funk offensively, should be the victor when it’s all said and done.
