Michigan will win by double digits

This win isn’t going to come easy for Michigan basketball, but when it’s all said and done, I can see the Wolverines pulling away to win by 12-15 points.

Penn State is a solid team and if this game were on the road, I’d be very worried as a Michigan basketball fan. The Nittany Lions play solid defense and are a capable 3-point shooting team. They also have a decent presence inside and do a great job on the offensive boards.

However, while Penn State is a good defensive team, the Wolverines are elite on defense. With Teske inside, along with the length and athleticism everywhere else, Michigan is tough to score on. At the very least, you are going to have to make tough, contested shots, because Michigan doesn’t turn it over much and won’t give up many easy buckets.

Penn State generally does a good job of turning teams over, but we all know Michigan is one of the best in the country at taking care of the ball and as long as UM limits turnovers and avoids fouls, it’s hard to see Penn State pulling the upset, even though it will be a competitive game.
