Michigan Football: Predicting the Wolverines 3 biggest recruiting battles
Michigan will land Zach Harrison from Ohio
After Hill de-committed, much of the Michigan football fanbase turned its attention to Zach Harrison, another five-star player. He’s a defensive end and there is no doubt he is elite.
Recently, I compared Harrison to Rashan Gary because he is that talented. Getting a kid like that would send a huge statement, especially because his high school is about 10 minutes away from the Horseshoe.
When Michigan football is great, it is stealing kids from Ohio and with Harrison, Michigan seems to have a pretty good chance. The crystal ball predictions on 247sports seem to favor the Wolverines, although it’s only by a 2-to-1 margin and the fact that Harrison apparently isn’t fond of Urban Meyer also doesn’t hurt, because even though he’s not going to be the head coach he still is right now and it appears Harrison is making his decision Wednesday.
Another promising thing is that over the weekend, some Michigan football recruits said they felt that UM had a chance at landing him. Harrison doesn’t say much and he won’t make a big announcement Wednesday. But the fact that players like his chances of coming to Michigan, gives me hope that he will join the Maize and Blue come early national signing day.
