Michigan doesn’t win without the heroics of Iggy

It’s hard to say it was a bad shooting day for the Wolverines when they shot in the low 40’s, however, some key guys like Charles Matthews and Jordan Poole didn’t shoot the ball great.

Matthews was 1-of-7 from the field and Poole, even though he scored 15 points, was only 1-of-5 from 3-point range. Stepping up to the fill the void was Iggy, who seriously looked like the Wolverines best player last night.

While Matthews started the season as the go-to guy on offense, Poole and Iggy are taking on that role. With Michigan basketball down three late, Iggy tied the game. He also poured in 23 points on 9-of-18 shooting and drilled three treys. He also had two steals, two assists and four rebounds.

Iggy is the total package and he’s better than I could have ever expected him to be this early in the season. He’s not quite Moritz Wagner yet, but he is bringing some serious star power to this Michigan team and he’s one of the reasons UM is considered one of the best teams in the country right now.
