Wolverines will give up yards and touchdowns but will force miscues too

There has been a lot of talk about how this Ohio State team doesn’t feel like it usually does and that might be true, but it’s not because of the offense. Dwayne Haskins is legit and is probably the Big Ten Player of the Year.

He is averaging more than 300 yards per game throwing and Ohio State has the Big Ten’s best passing offense, while also leading in scoring offense and total offense. The idea that Ohio State isn’t a juggernaut, at least on offense, is just absurd.

Haskins also has two very good receivers — K.J. Hill and Parris Campbell. Both are over 700 yards receiving and will be a big challenge for Michigan corners David Long, Lavert Hill and Brandon Watson.

Fortunately, Haskins doesn’t run the ball much and the Buckeyes as a team haven’t run the ball that effectively. If the Wolverines slow the run game, it will be easier for the pass rush and blitz schemes of Don Brown to get home.

Haskins will make some big plays. I think he will throw for around 250 yards and two touchdowns. However, he will get sacked at least a few times and turn it over at least once. Michigan will get one interception and when it’s all said and done, the Buckeyes will score around 20.
