Michigan Football: 5 reasons Wolverines fans have to be thankful
The revenge tour has been a dream come true
Heading into this season, the talk about Michigan football was that the Wolverines couldn’t win the big game. That idea was reinforced with the season-opening loss to Notre Dame.
Michigan Wolverines
People started freaking out, but this Wolverines team never wavered. Harbaugh said it was just the beginning and that the team’s goal was to win the Big Ten championship. Since then, Michigan has been a different team.
I first noticed the way the Wolverines demolished Nebraska. Then, after the comeback at Northwestern, you still didn’t know how UM would fare against teams like Wisconsin, Michigan State and Penn State — three teams that beat Michigan a season ago.
Two of those losses were by double digits last year. However, this year was different and after the 38-13 demolition of Wisconsin, you knew this Michigan football team was special. The victory over Michigan State also got a major monkey off the back of Harbaugh and then the win over Penn State truly announced this team as the team to beat in the Big Ten.
Obviously, the revenge tour has one last stop, but already, it has been tremendously satisfying and is just another thing Michigan football fans have to be thankful about. Hopefully, in two days time, we have something else to give thanks for as well — a win over Ohio State.
