Michigan football notches another impressive win

Certainly, I could be wrong but this Michigan team has a special feel to it. The Wolverines are talented and hungry and they are going to be out to make a point against Penn State.

And that point is going to have nothing to do with the College Football Playoff. UM remembers getting beat last season. It also remembers the criticism that it can’t win big games. Well, a loss to the Nittany Lions would bring that narrative back, at least in some ways.

That’s why I expect the Wolverines to be sharp on both sides of the ball. It’s possible there will be some rust after the bye, but I don’t expect it to last long. Michigan is the more talented team and it’s also the more physical team.

The Wolverines are going to win the battle of the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Michigan’s offensive line, if healthy, is legit and it will prove that again versus Penn State. Defensively, the front seven is going to dominate, especially Winovich. This just seems like a game where he could get 2-3 sacks.

When it’s all said and done, Michigan will win going away. Like Michigan State and Wisconsin, UM won’t pull away until the second half and red-zone issues will keep the score closer than it should be, but ultimately, the Wolverines will win something like 30-13.
