Michigan Football: 5 players who need to step up against Wisconsin
Michigan football faces off against Wisconsin Saturday at the Big House and if the Wolverines want to win, here are five guys who need to step up.
After five wins over teams, it should beat, Michigan football is back on the big stage this week, as the Wisconsin Badgers are set to come to the Big House on Saturday.
The Wisconsin game is also the start of a brutal three-game stretch for Michigan football, a stretch that will go a long way in defining this season as a success or failure.
Fans have been looking forward to this part of the schedule for months and following the loss to Notre Dame in the season opener, the anticipation only grew. It was nice to see the Wolvineres dominate against Western Michigan, SMU, Nebraska and Maryland. It was also good to see them beat a pretty decent Northwestern team on the road.
But those victories aren’t going to satisfy the fanbase, the players or the coaches. This program has the resources, the talent and the coaching staff to compete for conference championships and the playoffs on the regular. I am not saying make it every year, but there is no reason Michigan football shouldn’t at least be in the conversation more often than not.
Right now, the Wolverines are on the outside looking in at that conversion. A win this week changes all that and for that to happen, here are five guys that need to step up.
