Michigan Football vs Northwestern: How to watch, storylines and more
Michigan football will take on Northwestern on the road Saturday, here’s everything you need to know including how to watch.
After demolishing Nebraska last week in its Big Ten opener, the Michigan football team will head on the road this week, for the first time since Notre Dame to take on Northwestern.
The Wolverines head into Saturday’s game against the Wildcats as two-touchdown favorites, however, Northwestern is definitely a team that could test Michigan. The Wildcats won 10 games a season ago and after losing two straight, they will be trying to turn their season around, starting with an upset win over UM.
Northwestern also still has to feel like it has a chance in the Big Ten West. The Wildcats are 1-0 in Big Ten play, so they still have plenty to play for. They are also fresh off a bye and with Pat Fitzgerald at the helm, UM should expect a fired up home team.
If the Wolverines are as good as we believe them to be, then they should be able to take care of the Wildcats, hopefully, big a couple scores or more. But winning on the road is never easy and anything is possible in college football.
With that in mind, here is a look at how to watch the game between Michigan and Northwestern, as well as some of the top storylines from this week.

Who are the Wildcats?
The Wildcats were a team that many viewed as a top-25 caliber club to start the season, however, after home losses to Duke and Akron, they need a win like this (Michigan) to get them back on track. It could also put them right into the thick of the Big Ten West race.
Clayton Thorson is a very experienced quarterback but he does most of his damage from the pocket so making sure he doesn’t have a big day will be key. The Wolverines will need to pressure him and pressure him often.
Northwestern will have to find a new running back to rely on, as their top rusher Jeremy Larkin had to retire earlier this week due to injury.
