Patterson will make plays against a stingy defense

During his last two seasons with Ole Miss, Patterson proved that he could make big plays and also that he turns the football over too much. While he may exhibit both of those traits in the game Saturday vs Notre Dame, here’s guessing the Michigan quarterback comes out of it looking pretty good.

I don’t think the Wolverines offense is going to dominate. But I do think Patterson is going to show Michigan football fans why they should be so excited about his arrival. Notre Dame’s defense is very good. The front seven is loaded and Julian Love is a preseason All-American at corner.

At some point, I think Patterson will make a mistake and probably throw an interception. Yet, as long as it is limited to one, Michigan can overcome it and if Patterson can make some highlight-reel plays, it will be easy to forget.

There will be some good and some bad. That’s how it is with every player but by the end of the game, Patterson should do enough to impress the Michigan faithful, and hopefully enough to win the game.
