The Notre Dame quarterback has legs that must be contained

If there is one thing that concerns me about the Notre Dame offense, it’s Brandon Wimbush and the biggest reason isn’t his arm — it’s his legs.

Wimbush completed only around 50 percent of his passes last season. The actual number, to be exact was 49.5. And when it came to defending the pass last season, Michigan football was pretty effective, especially when both David Long and Lavert Hill were in the lineup, like they will be Saturday.

There have been reports that Wimbush has improved as a passer but Ian Book, the backup still throws the ball better. However, he doesn’t run the ball as well as Wimbush, who last season had four games with more than 100 yards rushing. He also scored 14 touchdowns and averaged nearly six yards per rush attempt.

We all know the Wolverines have struggled against mobile quarterbacks in the past and hopefully, it’s not something that comes back to bite them Saturday in South Bend.
