Michigan Basketball: 3 ideal fits for Moe Wagner in 2018 NBA draft
Wagner would be a perfect Celtic
With the Boston Celtics picking 27th in the 2018 NBA draft, the former Michigan basketball star might not make it to Boston. However, if he did, it could be a match made in heaven.
For some reason, international players get the reputation for being soft. But that’s not Wagner. Not at all. He’s an intense guy and he has a deep affection for the game and its history. Wagner would love playing for the Celtics, in Boston, on the parquet floor.
Wagner also loves winning. He bought in completely to the Beilein’s system playing for Michigan basketball and he would buy what Brad Stevens is selling too. Boston also could use a stretch four that could come off the bench or eventually take over for Marcus Morris.
Wagner, again, would be great in screens with Kyrie Irving and Stevens would develop him the right way. Beyond that, the fans would love him immediately, because even if he didn’t play a ton of minutes next season, he would make his presence felt. You better believe that.
