Patterson will make all the difference in the world

It might seem like a lot to put on Shea Patterson, but he alone could be the difference between eight wins last year and 10 or more this season.

Patterson is a dynamic player and he proved that the past two seasons for Ole Miss. He threw 23 touchdown passes and 12 interceptions. However, his ability to make things happen is what the Wolverines have been missing.

The UM quarterbacks have been utterly conventional the past three years and it hasn’t been good enough. To win, you need impact players and Patterson will give Michigan its first impact quarterback since Harbaugh has arrived.

That doesn’t mean the Wolverines are going to win the Big Ten or national title. However, it should give them a much better chance to win some big games. And after losing just about all of them in 2017, it seems like the Wolverines are due to win at least one or two.

Of course, having an elite quarterback will help and it won’t take long to realize how much.
