The spring game for Michigan football will be played this Saturday at the Big House. Here are three things to watch as spring workouts conclude.

The Michigan football team has been on the practice field for a couple of weeks now, but the big show comes Saturday, with the Wolverines spring game at the Big House.

Of course, there is going to be a lot of excitement. For one, it’s the closest thing to a game Michigan football will play until August. The other reason it will be highly anticipated is that UM has not made practice available to the media, so it’s hard to tell what’s going on.

Certainly, there are a number of position battles to watch. It will be fun to see which guys are going to take the next step and put themselves in a position to contend for playing time in the fall. Young players want to make a name for themselves and spring football is just one way to do it.

Obviously, quarterback will be a big question for the Wolverines, but there are other things to keep an eye on too. This was one of the youngest college football teams in America last season and it will be fun to watch these young players grow. Ultimately, that’s the key to success for Jim Harbaugh and the Wolverines.

With new coaches and new players (Shea Patterson) there will be no shortage of storylines Saturday, but here are a few things to watch with the game just days away.
