Christmas is officially here and with that in mind, here is a look at three things that would make the holidays merry for Michigan football.

It’s Christmas Eve and as we all know, Santa Claus is coming soon. He’s got his list, has checked it twice and is coming to deliver. Yet if ole Saint Nick was going to bring something for Michigan football, what presents would best fill the Wolverines stocking?

Sorry for all the Christmas puns (I couldn’t help myself). Hopefully you are reading this surrounded by loved ones and are all Michigan football fans. No Spartans, Buckeyes or Irish fans allowed!

But really, if Michigan football had three Christmas wishes, if coach Jim Harbaugh was to get a visit from the big guy, what would he want? What do the Wolverines want/need the most heading into the 2018 season?

The list wish for Michigan would probably include a few obvious things. A win over Ohio State is something we could probably all agree on. A Big Ten championship or a berth in the College Football Playoff might be others.

However, we want to try and be realistic. Sometimes what you really want for Christmas just isn’t possible and to some extent, the big guy can’t give you a win over the Buckeyes, only the tools to achieve the objective.

So if you were Harbaugh, prepping the milk, cookies and steaks for Santa (needs protein) and you had three things you could ask for as presents, what would they be? Here’s my shot at three perfect gifts for the Wolverines.
