Myles Sims is a different kind of cornerback

Another commitment that has the look of a future star for the Wolverines is corner Myles Sims. It’s true that Michigan football has some good corners on this roster. Lavert Hill, David Long, Brandon Watson and Ambry Thomas are all good players. And they aren’t the only ones either.

Long and Hill both established themselves as starters for the Wolverines. Truthfully, both played much better than expected last season, so suddenly, UM is loaded at corner.

Yet, there is something special about Sims. One thing that makes him different than most corners, is his height and length. He’s 6-3 and long. His ball skills, as you can see in the highlights above are impressive.

Michigan football was always known for turning out good defensive backs. Charles Woodson, Leon Hall, Marlin Jackson, Jourdan Lewis and Jabrill Peppers are just some that have made the NFL. Sims looks like he could be the next to join that group.

Some guys, you can just look at them and know they have it and Sims is one of them. He’s incredibly smooth and it wouldn’t be shocking at all to see him work his way onto the field as a freshman.
