Michigan football has a chance to notch a defining win Saturday against Wisconsin, so here are three bold predictions for the Wolverines.

At the start of the Michigan football season, everyone knew the Wisconsin game was going to be huge. Unfortunately, when it rolls around Saturday, the Badgers will have more on the line than the Wolverines.

Unlike Michigan football, Wisconsin is right in the thick of the playoff hunt. The Badgers ranked fifth in this week’s College Football Playoff Rankings. They have also already clinched a berth in the Big Ten Championship Game.

At 10-0, the Badgers are rolling right now. Last week, in one of their toughest games of the season, they dominated Iowa 38-14. Yes, that same Iowa team that utterly destroyed Ohio State two weeks ago.

Against Wisconsin, the iowa offense couldn’t even find the end zone, the two Hawkeye scores came on interception returns for touchdowns. And with Michigan, plus a matchup with Ohio State in the Big Ten chipper, being the only things preventing Wisconsin from a dream season, means the Wolverines should expect Wisconsin’s best shot.

For its part, Michigan also needs to win this game. The Wolverines are still technically alive in the Big Ten East and can still play its way into a major bowl, but that’s not why this game is important.

Jim Harbaugh needs a signature win and so does this Michigan football team. And this game in Camp Randall, against the unbeaten Badgers, provides the perfect opportunity to get it.

With that mind, here are three predictions for Saturday.
