Peters showed the moment wasn’t too big for him

The final stat line for Peters wasn’t impressive, but it didn’t have to be. He managed the game, he took care of the football and he proved he can handle being the starting quarterback for Michigan football.

Yes, it would have been nice to see Peters hit a long pass or two off play action. But the weather was bad and the running game was cooking. Higdon and Evans created a bunch of big plays, so Peters and the passing game didn’t have to.

Outside of a few sacks and a couple off throws, Peters was efficient. He was 8-of-13 for 56 yards and one touchdown. But as long as the chains are moving and the Wolverines are winning the turnover battle, it’s a plus.

It’s really hard to say if Peters is going to be a star. Guess we will find out in the next three weeks against Maryland, Wisconsin and Ohio State.
