Michigan Football: 3 takeaways from Wolverines Win over Minnesota
Higdon is crazy hot right now
Peters was not the guy many thought would be the quarterback at this point in the season for Michigan football, but you could say the same about Higdon at running back.
Chris Evans, who rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns against Minnesota, was supposed to be the guy. Instead, it’s Higdon, who ran for 200 yards and two scores. It was Higdon’s second 200 yard game in the last four weeks. He also ran for 158 yards against Rutgers a week ago.
For the season, the sophomore has 119 attempts for 804 yards. He is also one of just 10 running backs in Michigan history to have two games with more than 200 rushing yards in one season.
While Higdon is the guy, Evans showed he can be good too. He scored two 60-plus rushing touchdowns. He may not be the starter, but the Higdon-Evans duo looks potent.
