Michigan football will host Cincinnati at the Big House Saturday, here are the keys to a Wolverines victory.

The poor Cincinnati Bearcats. They played the wholly inept Austin Peay Governors last week. It looked like a good tune up to get ready for Michigan Football. It wasn’t.

It was a disappointing sludgefest.  Luke Fickell must be scared out of his mind. Since he left the friendly confines of Columbus and moved down the short drive on I-71 he can’t even remember how to say “TTUN”. He very respectfully says Michigan football now and even claims to write with blue pens, nowadays.

Well, I’m sure neither Jim Harbaugh, nor the rest of the Michigan football team, will feel any pity or kinship for him. I’m quite sure they’ll be ready to take care of business and keep momentum moving in the right direction.

So, what constitutes momentum? A 12 point victory, like Cincy had last week? Nah, I don’t really think that’s good enough.

Vegas has Michigan at -31 last I heard. So I think the minimum needed to keep momentum would be a 35 point victory. And I would like to see it at 60+ myself. PSU beat Akron 52-0, I think that’s a good measuring stick. I’d like to see the Wolverines beat that.

Of course, the Bearcats have their own plans, ideas, hopes and dreams. Michigan football needs to come out ready to play 60 minutes and cut their hearts out early.

So, how does UM accomplish that? Here are three keys.
