The five-star freshman needs to make an immediate impact at wide receiver.

There is obviously a lot of hype surrounding Donovan Peoples-Jones, the five-star wide out that recently signed to play for Michigan football.

According to 247sports, Peoples-Jones was the top receiver in the country, which means the 6-2 pass catcher should have a chance to make an early impact.

The fact that he is already enrolled and plans to take part in spring practice, only gives him an even better opportunity to become a key player right away.

Eddie McDoom and Dekoka Crawford are two other solid options returning for Michigan. But Peoples-Jones could be the next great Wolverines wide out.

If he can make an impact as a freshman and become a go-to guy for Wilton Speight, UM could be better off at wide receiver than anyone could have expected after losing two NFL-caliber players.

Speight is going to need some guys who can stretch the field and while McDoom is capable of creating explosive plays, Peoples-Jones has the makings of an elite perimeter receiver and could be better than any UM has had in a long time.
